Be@CyberPro aims to foster cybersecurity as a career choice among high school students. To do this, the project consortium developed and piloted a dedicated learning platform, containing sets of learning materials aimed at teachers on cybersecurity and cybersecurity careers in English, Spanish, Hungarian and Bulgarian.
Christina Todorova of ESI CEE presented the Be@CyberPro project and its approach to closing the skills and gender gap in the cybersecurity sector within the Women4IT Conference and Tech Week Ireland. Yesterday, on March 22, 2020, ESI CEE carried out a local multiplier event in Bulgaria. The event was organized as a virtual conference, due to the lockdown restrictions in Bulgaria, caused by the need to slow down the spread of COVID-19.
The online course for teachers took part in the period between January 28th, 2020 and February 10th, 2020 and was carried out jointly by ESI CEE and 125th Secondary School “Boyan Penev”. The pilot was conducted with overall 5 participants from the two organizations with the support and active participation of the two teachers, who took part in the short-term joint staff training event in Madrid, Spain, in July 2019.
